Join Joe Bean, owner and operator of the Salisbury Grocery Outlet, as he raises funds for Habitat for Humanity of Wicomico County. Joe has pledged to compete with other local community leaders in a fundraising competition for affordable home construction in Wicomico County as part of their 12th annual Chefs for Habitat Gourmet Gala.
Habitat for Humanity of Wicomico County builds modest, affordable homes alongside hardworking families in need, who then purchase the homes at low-interest, affordable mortgages. Since its inception in 1987, nonprofit HFHWC has built/renovated 73 homes in Wicomico County. All contributions go directly toward purchasing building materials for Habitat home construction.
Mr. Joe Bean is the Independent Owner & Operator of Grocery Outlet Salisbury. He is a retired Government employee and is no stranger to working in retail with 10+ years of experience. Joe places a huge emphasis on friends and family being a large part of his life including his pups! When Joe isn't whipping something up in the kitchen, he's quite the outdoorsman. He's done over 150 skydiving jumps and is a hiking aficionado. He's also a big soccer fan and has been to 3 World Cups!
